Mott The Hoople were one of the great bands to come out of the Classic Rock years, with their tasty fusion of heavy metal, glam rock, and sneering hipster cynicism. They were able to subvert rock & roll conventions with their lyrics, and the band had a tough, muscular sound that kept the group firmly in hard rock territory.

Wott the Hoople was formed in 2011 with a vision to keep the music of Mott the Hoople alive, WOTT THE HOOPLE are a fitting tribute to the music of Ian Hunter, Ariel Bender, Mick Ralphs and the rest of the gang. Not trying to be Mott lookalikes, they prefer to concentrate on the Mott sound and boy do they do a great job!! In June 11th of this year they will be playing alongside the very members of Mott the Hoople and Bad Company, at The Mott convention in Hereford. After playing a live show at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells in August 2015, the show was attended by Mick Bolton (Mott the Hoople &, Dexy’s midnight Runners Keyboard player) and Phil John, (Former Mott the Hoople Road Manager) Impressed by the band, they asked Wott the Hoople to headline at The Mott convention, the result of which, they are now playing alongside, Ariel Bender (Luther Grosvenor, Spooky Tooth, Mott the Hoople, Widowmaker) and Mick Ralphs (Bad Company, Mott the Hoople) Wott are a five-piece band comprising of two Guitars, keyboards, Drums and Bass. www.facebook.com/wottthehoople
