The Reelers are a 6 piece Roots R&B band from Brixton, London. The band was assembled by lead singer Cass Cook, with the mission to start making a modern version of the 50s & 60s black rock 'n' roll music, the origins of rock and roll, that never gained mainstream success due to the political and racial issues of the era.
Since recording their debut album with Universal The Reelers have seen heavy support from the media including Tom Robinson's BBC 6 'Introducing' show, BBC Radio London and Jazz FM. The band played Glastonbury last year, will be performing there again this year (amongst other festivals), and have acquired a monthly residency at London's top Blues venue - The Blues Kitchen in Shoreditch, London. Their self-titled debut album is set for release in 2015.
