Laura Aldridge ‘No Math Method’
material offcuts on A3 digital print
Laura’s print is a relation to her ongoing series of soft textural works. She says ‘I rarely, if ever, work on paper, so with making a print in mind I wanted to make it feel as live as possible - to add the potential of movement through stitched fabric and loose threads. The added textiles are fabric offcuts are pieces left over from various projects: a building wrap for The Biennale of Contemporary Art, Brno; A fabric banner for an exhibition at Curfew Gallery; fabric tests for The Bothy Stores Aprons I made in 2017; scraps from an Artlink making workshop for staff at Cherry Road Day Centre.’
