Most Times is an all-female three-piece band from Massachusetts, currently located in Boston and Manhattan. All having met at a local School of Rock franchise location, Most Times grew up in the classic rock mindset and put that to use in a modernized, indie way with a driving rhythm section and expressive guitars and melodies. Influenced as well by the alternative rock groups of the 2010s, Most Times writes songs with lots of space to explore personal yet relatable lyrical themes. The trio is known locally for their eclectic live set combining indie original material with covers spanning everything from Led Zeppelin to Blink-182 to Asia.
The group consists of Michelle Langelier (17, left), Seven Evans (17, center), and Zoe Tevyaw (18, right). On bass and lead vocals, Michelle contributes live experience and melodic prowess to this project. As the lead guitarist, Seven is responsible for the majority of the band’s creativity, taking point on lyricism and tonal themes. Zoe Tevyaw, the drummer, is currently studying Music Business at NYU and takes charge on many of the band’s behind-the-scenes moves. While Most Times itself has not performed frequently having entered the industry around the time of the pandemic, each member has ample stage experience with each other through other groups and bands. All having been honing their crafts for years, the Most Times members bring in a wide set of individual skills, as a collective creating a well-rounded group.
Most Times is currently in the process of recording their debut album titled The Basement, a year-long running project coming to a head towards the close of 2021. The songs of The Basement deal with bitter nostalgia, teenage angst, and unrequited love through intimate lyrics and playful, driving instrumentals. The album will soon be released on major streaming services, but several live performances of the songs are available to view now through the band’s instagram (@mosttimesband).
