Knaves are a sharp, upbeat, feel-good, alternative/indie band based in Sheffield. Having only formed in February 2014, they have already made their mark on the Steel City, appearing on BBC Radio Introducing multiple times and the National Student Radio chart show. Following relentless gigging around the Sheffield area, Knaves have built up a large student following and were chosen out of over 1,700 bands to play at Y Not Festival 2014 alongside the likes of Razorlight, White Lies and The Fratellis. According to an independent review by 7BitArcade, “Their music was better than some of the main stage bands”.
Having been ranked one of the ‘Top 5 Student Bands in the UK’ by online student magazine ‘The Uniion’, Knaves recently released their highly anticipated ‘Suncatcher’ EP to glowing reviews, with a huge headline show in Liverpool at Studio 2, Parr St. They have since returned to Sheffield with a huge homecoming show at the famous Leadmill.
2015 promises to be an even bigger year for Knaves as they are set to release their first single and music video and embark on shows across the country, the next being their debut London gig scheduled for February.
