Kezia is a singer/songwriter who’s sound drifts between folk and blues with a tinge of country. Her lyric based songs are accompanied by thoughtful melodies on the guitar and piano. Although just 22 years old, Kezia’s mature voice sings heartfelt lyrics of matters that many can relate to, conveying a certain melancholy that is heard throughout her music.

Although her music career is only just beginning, Kezia has played at some major UK Festivals including Relentless Boardmasters, Leopallooza, The Eden Sessions, Fieldview, Galtres, Somersault & Looe Fest. She was asked to perform at the Olympic Park as part of 2012’s event, and in 2014 she was personally invited to join Neil Halstead on his Spanish Tour ‘The Velvet Underground & Nico’ as the main support act and to play keys in his band. Her musical abilities have also gained her slots supporting artists such as The Proclaimers, Kaiser Chiefs, Lindi Ortega, Lucy Rose, Ralph McTell, Feeder and Glenn Tilbrook. A recent and successful trip around Europe with a short tour in Holland shows that her appeal is starting to spread across the pond.

Her powerful lyrics and beautiful voice has earned her the Cornish Guardian’s What’s on Awards ‘Best Female’ 2 years in a row.

Kezia works alongside John Cornfield who has produced some world famous albums with the likes of Muse, The Verve, Razorlight and Supergrass. Her 6 track debut EP ‘Kezia’, was released in April 2013, and the follow up EP is currently underway.

*‘Kezia stopped me in my tracks she has a truly beautiful voice, like Anne Briggs but Cornish’ — Neil Halstead, Singer/songwriter

*‘If one musician is worthy of a special mention this year it’s Kezia, the young singer songwriter from Camborne who astonished all who saw her across Cornwall, with her mature voice and mesmerising performances. Shouts of “our own Laura Marling” aren’t far off the mark’ — Lee Trewhela, Cornish Guardian

*Cornwall’s answer to Laura Marling, Kezia’s liquid-smooth vocals, bright finger picking style, and more sombre keyboard playing, are quite simply stunning. But there’s more than mere comparisons to this lass. She’s got real substance, and makes music for what seems like all the right reasons. – Fi Read, Cornwall Today Newspaper
