jack of the suburbs is an Avant-Pop project from Wales that explores the visual and sonic aspects of suburban life, inspired by music’s pivotal role in the shaping of society and how our conceptions of identity, time and space have adapted as we settle in to the Information Age.
This is a cross art-form project, with an ever changing audio-visual live setup, a participatory drawing club and various recorded outputs, including an ongoing sound diary, found sound remixes for Creative Education company pyka, and self-released EPs.
jack of the suburbs is Gary-Martin, and through this persona he creates electronic music, which combine organic found and programmed sound to engage and absorb your sensorium.
