Husband Material are a fast-paced indie-emo three-piece based in Liverpool, consisting of lead guitarist/vocalist Adam, bassist Conor and Posh on drums.
Forming in November 2018, from the dissolution of a former band, Husband Material’s music draws upon a wide range of inspirations, from the likes of The Smiths, The Cure and The Stone Roses to Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Eat World and Tigers Jaw. Creating a sound with ‘clear influences’ but ‘a more contemporary vibe’.
The group has gone from strength to strength, developing their sound in some of Liverpool’s best venues; O2 Academy, The Magnet, Studio2 Parr Street, The Zanzibar and East Village Arts Club. Whilst supporting artists such as Otherkin, Spinn, Headclouds, Vistas, Husky Loops and many more often on their national tours. The three members’ different personalities and musical tastes make the band far more than the sum of its parts.
2019 proved to be a successful year for the trio, developing their energetic live performances and building upon their loyal fanbase. This success has not gone unnoticed with the band receiving the attention of Manchester music company Scruff of the Neck, which lead to Husband Material first headline show in February 2020.
The momentum his high with Husband Material, and there is a lot to look forward to with more live shows and releases planned.
