Listen, and fall, into Household Dogs’ bleak, shadow strewn existence.
For almost three years the Leeds based five-piece have been weaving elements of Alternative Rock, 80s Post Punk and Americana birthing a timbre of their very own.
Recalling the claustrophobic confines of Bauhaus’ productions and the spacious oblivion of The Cure, Household Dogs create backdrops onto which lyrics paint stark and honest portraits of their enigmatic world.
With a fierce DIY ethic, the outfit continue to craft their sound, writing, recording, mixing and releasing independently of any external forces. This process gives them complete control over their art, something they show no sign of relinquishing.
Following the immediate success of their second single ‘Is This All’ with BBC Radio 6 Airplay and a ‘10 out of 10’ review from BBC Radio DJ Tom Robinson it is apparent that their gothic undertones stand as no deterrent to listeners.
After their 2019 debut headline tour, Household Dogs have become synonymous with their taut live performances in which power and vulnerability collide. With notable sets alongside the likes of The Blinders, Calva Louise, Jaye Jayle and Giant Rooks The Dogs have gone on captivate audiences at the Live at Leeds, Wild Paths and Reading & Leeds festivals.
