Haythem is an energetic young fingerstyle guitarist who plays in a contemporary style involving guitar percussion, infectious rhythms and catchy melodies. He started playing the guitar in his late teens. He spent his gap year working in order to travel to Canada and play in the International Fingerstyle Competition. Despite having only two and a half years of playing at this point, he managed to make the top 5 of the contest and played in the final, placing 4th overall and gaining a sponsorship from Stonebridge Guitars. He went on to excel at Guitar Performance at Newcastle University, gaining a 1st overall for his guitar work.
Haythem is now a regular feature on the Newcastle gig circuit, both teaching and performing. He is an energetic performer, combining his guitar skills with comedic storytelling to create an entertaining atmosphere.
