Singer Ella Mae has been making waves in the UK music scene for some time; first appearing on Mark Lamarr's BBCRadio 2 show at the age of 16, she is currently collaborating with a range of emerging talents across Europe and the States. Based in Brighton, she has been described in the press as an "unstoppable vocal talent" with "Erykah Badu-inspired melodies and angelic harmonies".
Multi-lingual Ella comes from musical pedigree, with her father's Little George Sueref's legendary harmonica appearing on a few of her tracks. London born, she has Greek heritage, moving around Wales and Switzerland as a child she grew up on a steady musical diet of blues, soul and reggae, finally falling in love with hip hop as a teenager.
A prolific writer, in demand Ella Mae has most recently featured on Banoffee Pies Records' first beat tape, as well as a spot on Brownswood Bubblers 12 pt 1, compiled by Gilles Peterson.
