Hawaii is about three close friends going their separate ways across the globe, marking the end of a time of innocence. The songs describe moments of stepping into adulthood and all the excitements, disappointments, mistakes and triumphs that come along the way.

Expanding on their debut EP Didn’t Stay, Dusty Cut have grown their “warm and nostalgic 1970s style sound” (Metro) to include diverse instrumentation: banjo, hammered dulcimer, organs, synths and pianos. These were recorded in a variety of locations including studios in London and Cardiff, bedrooms, offices and the Bristol Catacombs.
