One of the capital’s foremost vocal groups, Camden Voices is a collective of talented musicians at the leading-edge of contemporary ensemble singing.
Known for our vibrant rich blend and captivating performances, we have performed at renowned venues such as The Roundhouse, Union Chapel and Southbank Centre, alongside appearances on ITV and BBC Radio.
Spanning a huge breadth of repertoire, we showcase fresh arrangements from the worlds of a capella, jazz and pop written with the diverse and unique qualities of the group’s voices in mind. The 30 piece choir comprises passionate singers, instrumentalists and educators from across London unified by our shared love of music.
The choir is directed by Anna-Lena (Anni) Delger, a choral conductor, singer, and vocal arranger based in London.
Anni has extensive experience directing, mentoring, and conducting choirs of different age groups and genre-focuses; ranging from pop and jazz to classical music, specialising in a cappella ensembles. Anni is part of the multi-award-winning a cappella pop ensemble ‘LowKey’ and also directs the Pop-Up Choir and the ICMP Community Choir. In the past, they’ve sung with the London Vocal Project, the Conchords, and Pop-Up Detmold in Germany.
Their most valuable gigs include performing a Quincy Jones premiere on German TV with their vocal quartet, singing backing vocals for Joe Stilgoe together with the BBC Concert Orchestra, and recording a jazz album with the London Vocal Project, Pete Churchill, Norma Winstone, Dave Holland and Nikki Iles.
Anni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Classical Choral Conducting from Germany, as well as a Master’s degree in Jazz Singing from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. They are now following their career path as a performer in vocal music and teacher in vocal pedagogy.
