Transport

Brighton Up Bar is located in the heart of Sydney’s Oxford Street and easily accessible by public transport.

The nearest train station in Museum which is about a 6 minute walk, or Town Hall is around 12 minutes.

There are a number of busses that run along Oxford St and we’re a 15 minute walk from the light rail stop in Haymarket.

Street parking is limited so we recommend you avoid driving if possible.

Opening Times

The Brighton Hotel is open:
Sunday – Wednesday: 10am – 11pm
Thursday – Saturday: 10am – 3am

Brighton Up Bar open for gigs on Thursday – Saturday and occasionally on other nights of the week.

Brighton Up Bar has been through a number of incarnations over the years, more recently though it’s been established as a home and breeding ground for local musos. Situated in the heart of Sydney’s Oxford Street, it’s one of the few dedicated live music venues with a smaller capacity, ideal for up-and-comers or interstate acts attempting to break into the Sydney scene. Over the past three years the venue have played host to a number of Australia’s finest acts, including Courtney Barnett, Violent Soho, Gang Of Youths, Bad//Dreems, Dune Rats, Holy Holy, Palms, The Peep Tempel, The Growl, Hockey Dad, Montaigne and many, many more.
