Born in the back of a Berlingo somewhere along the M25 and conceived to a soundtrack of P-Funk/G-Funk/Bee Gees & Space Jazz, the GRAVY BASS collective known as Birdsworth began 18000 hours ago...
The Birdsworth universe is built upon teabag traffic jams, meat raffles, village hall dance offs, jukebox bankruptcy, sequined blazers, mullet wigs, organised jutting, half-arsed crate digging, cosmic tracksuits, funk bunker recording sessions and relentless rounds of gigs slipped inbetween daylight hours (including sold out headline shows at The Dublin Castle, Water Rats & Off The Cuff for their regularly irregular Gravy Bass Social club night, as well as supporting Ibibio Sound Machine,The Go! Team & The Milk)
Debut 7” single ‘Treat You Good’ received heavy rotation from Eddy Temple-Morris (Virgin radio) and recent single 'Ron Day Voo' gained support from BBC Introducing. 2020 will see the release of a full length LP entitled “Gravy Bass Mixtape Vol.2”
