At BARNES ROCK we dance!
BARNES ROCK holds regular 60s events with The 60s Allstars and 70s events with The Persuaders. We also put on several other bands including Cream of Hendrix, Birdwood and The Crawdaddys.
We also put on other great bands….always music to dance to all evening! We always choose venues with large dance floors.
On good Friday 2016, we put on The Trembling Wilburyss at London Welsh Rugby Club (Old Deer Park) and we are doing the same on Good Friday 2017 (April 14th)
AND
On Friday November 11th also at London Welsh, it’s The Rollin Stoned, the UK’s finest Rolling Stones tribute band.
The 60s Allstars are:
Alan Lovell (Guitar/Vocals) – The Swinging Blue Jeans
Del Mandel (Guitar/Vocals) – George Harrison
John Dee (Bass Guitar/Vocals) – The Foundations
and
Mick Avory (Drums) – The Kinks
The Persuaders are:
Robin Bibi – (Guitar/Vocals) Del Mandel (Guitar/Vocals) Andrew Heart (Bass Guitar/Vocals) and Ivan Hoe (Drums)
Sometimes joining the band on vocals and keyboards is Steve Oakman who plays currently with Vanity Fair. Steve’s father, Pete Oakman, played with Lonnie Donegan and Joe Brown’s Brothers. And sometimes, the band is joined by Alan Warner original member of the Foundations. If you want building up, Alan’s your man!
