Anna is an Irish singer-songwriter who accompanies herself with rhythmic acoustic piano. She plays a contemporary folky set of original songs with influences drawn from Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos and Carole King. Anna started her musical career young by growing up immersed in traditional Irish folk music having been brought up by two singers with whom she has performed since her early teens and was also in the electro-pop band Go Wolf who supported Bastille and The Killers at Tennents Vital Festival 2014 in Belfast. Anna released her first solo EP ‘Sparks’ while at university in Scotland in 2016 and her latest EP ‘All Part of It’ released in April 2021 features her full band of drums, bass, trombone, fiddle & cello. This EP followed the release of home-recorded single ‘Breathe’ during the first UK lockdown which reached the semi-finals of the International Song Writing Competition 2020. Since then, Anna spent 18 months working and gigging in Melbourne, Australia writing her next batch of originals and expanding her repertoire of traditional Irish songs.
