Thanks to all who came along to our Christmas Networking Drinks & In Conversation session with Emma Birdsall, Presented by Jaxsta at The Oxford Circus.
WIMSyd members enjoyed an engaging and in-depth chat with our guest of honour Emma Birdsall, and WIM founder Jacqui Louez Schoorl. The Oxford Circus provided a beautiful spread of canapés for the In Conversation session and networking drinks.
We held our usual charity raffle with hampers and goodies up for grabs for our members. Our guest of honour Emma nominated Sweet Society Apparel, which focuses on empowering victims of the human and sex trafficking industry, as our chosen cause.

OCTOBER NETWORKING BREAKFAST
THURSDAY 27TH OCTOBER 2016, 7.30AM – 9.15AM
THE WORKS, GLEBE
WIMSyd would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to our Women in Music Sydney In Conversation with Maria Amato, Presented by Jaxsta and MusicNSW at The Works Glebe on Thursday October 27.
After a catered breakfast, our members were joined by special guest Maria Amato, General Manager at the Australian Independent Record Label Association (AIR). Our very own Jacqui Louez Schoorl was nominated by Maria to lead an In Conversation session.
We also had the privilege of getting a special presentation on understanding financial statements that Maria very kindly offered for our members. Understanding balance sheets and profit and loss statements is a crucial skill to have, whether you’re an aspiring artist, manager or wanting to start your own business in the music industry.
Thanks to our generous raffle sponsors Event Cinemas, Rolling Stone Magazine, Corban and Blair, Bloodwood Botanica and The Nail Lab, we were able to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Australia, as nominated by Maria Amato.
