We've teamed up with Dr. Martens to launch Come Back Better, a new initiative to help more female, trans and non-binary artists make it onto the main stage.
Over the next two weeks, we'll be offering networking, mentorship and collaboration opportunities to help propel your profile - including the change to open up for post-punk favourites Goat Girl here at The Windmill on Wednesday 30 June.
Interested? Find out more about what we've got planned and how to apply below.
We've enlisted the support of some of our wonderful creative community. Apply and you'll have the chance to:
Get your own original, eye-catching artwork designed by graphic artist Raissa Pardini, renowned for her portfolio of album and tour poster visuals for bands such as Idles, SQUID, and The Orielles. See her work on her profile.
Have your own striking profile and promo shots taken by acclaimed scene photographer Holly Whitaker. Check out her work on her Instagram.
Sit down with Slow Dance Record's Maddy O’Keefe in a one-to-one session on profile building and promotion, where she'll share her expertise in managing and collaborating with artists like PVA.
Submit your demos for a chance to be handpicked by Goat Girl to support them at the Come Back Better live show and Q&A at The Windmill on Wednesday 30 June. Tickets for the event are available on our website.
You will have until Wednesday 23 June to apply for the Goat Girl support slot, and until 30 June for the other creative opportunities. Please email comebackbetter.windmill@gmail.com with the creative opportunity stated in the subject line along with information about your music, demos, and any relevant web links.
