BRIAN JONES Born 28 February 1942 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Founder and original leader of the band. Left on June 8 1969 - replaced by Mick Taylor. Died 3 July 1969 in his own swimming pool. MICK JAGGER Born 26 July 1943 in Dartford, Kent. Vocal, harp, guitar, piano, synthesizer.
KEITH RICHARDS Born 18 December 1943 in Dartford, Kent. Guitar, bottleneck guitar, slide guitar, bass, piano, vocals.
CHARLIE WATTS Born 2 June 1941 in Islington, London. First gig 14 January 1963 at the Flamingo Jazz Club, London. Drums, percussion.
BILL WYMAN Born 24 October 1936 in Lewisham, London. First gig 15 December 1962 at St. Mary's Church Hall, Putney. Left 6 January 1993 - no official replacement. Bass guitar, guitar, harp, autoharp, keyboards, synthesizer, vocals.
MICK TAYLOR Born 17 January 1949 in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Previously with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. First gig 5 July 1969 at Hyde Park, London. Left 12 December 1974 - replaced by Ron Wood. Guitar, bottleneck guitar, slide guitar, bass, piano, vocals.
RONNIE WOOD Born 1 June 1947 in Hillingdon, Middlesex. Previously with The Faces. First gig 1 June 1975 - Louisana State University, USA. Guitar, bottleneck guitar, slide guitar, bass, harp, dobro, saxophone, vocals.
IAN STEWART Born 18 July 1938 in Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland. Known as the 6th Stone he was the second founding member of the original Rolling Stones. Died 12 December 1985. Piano.
NICKY HOPKINS Born 24 February 1944 in London. Died 6 September 1994. Never an official Stone but played at numerous recordings and gigs. Piano.
