STUART GOLDSMITH
http://www.stuartgoldsmith.co.uk/
Stuart Goldsmith is an internationally award-winning comedian, with a reputation for smart, accessible stand-up. His enthusiasm and
natural charm conceal a quick wit and fearlessness honed by his early career as a street performer. Surprisingly candid about his exploits, sexploits and textploits, Stuart likes to get his teeth into love, romance and the downside of getting what you want.
In addition to his stand-up credentials, recent years have seen Stuart build a reputation as a highly skilled interviewer and engaging host. His always insightful and often inspiring The Comedian’s Comedian podcast.
“A charming, expert stand-up.” Sunday Times
“A supremely talented stand-up, with a wonderfully funny view of the world and an effortless charm.” Time Out
SARAH BENNETTO
Sarah Bennetto is a stand-up comic from Melbourne, Australia, now living and performing in the UK. She has appeared on stage, radio and television as a stand-up comic and presenter, and is responsible for experimental comedy collective Storytellers’ Club. She is a consistently warm, enlightening, lyrical, honest and hilarious presence on stages all across the UK and the wider world.
“Sarah Bennetto is a storyteller par excellence.” Time Out
“Bennetto delivers effervescent, confident and well-structured stand-up. Her tales of outrageous fortune are suffused with urbanity and wisdom, and buoyed by a lightly-rendered sense of nostalgia.” ★★★★– The Age, Melbourne
PETER FLANAGAN
Peter is an Irish comic who has recently relocated to London to pursue comedy full time. Back in Dublin he is a regular at both the Laughter Lounge and the International Comedy Club, whilst last year he made his debut at the Vodafone Comedy Carnival, sharing stages with the likes of Glen Wool and Jamali Maddix.
He has been a finalist in the Irish Comedian of the Year and the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and was selected to perform at the Stand’s prestigious ‘Best of Irish’ showcase at the Edinburgh Fringe.
“Been rocking Dublin audiences for the past few years. If you like one-liners, this guy is for you.” The International Comedy Club Dublin.
ELLIS AND ROSE
Ellis & Rose (Gareth Ellis and Rich Rose) have gained a reputation as one of the most anarchic and spontaneous acts around; no two E&R gigs will be the same!
Ellis & Rose are winners of a Malcolm Hardee Comedy Award, London Cabaret Award Nominees (for Best Alternative Act) and were included in The Scotsman’s 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Round-Up and Time Out’s Edinburgh Fringe A-Z 2014.
Their act falls somewhere between sketch comedy, clowning and cabaret gone wrong – making them a refreshing antidote to people talking about themselves and holding a microphone steadily in front of their face with little or no flailing about or gurning.
Neo-Vaudevillian lunacy at its sexiest(?)
“The best double-act I’ve seen in years.” Harry Hill
“Just some intellectual twats trying to be funny.” Jim Davidson
“High-energy, innovative stuff from two engaging, entertaining guys.” The Scotsman
LUCA CUPANI
Luca Cupani is a London-based Italian comedian. His first ever gig was on February 2014 at the King Gong Show (London, Comedy Store) and he won: since then, he has gone on to appear in a number of new act finals, winning the most prestigious: So You Think You’re Funny? in Edinburgh.
“We have discovered brand new comedy talent in Luca Cupani.” The Scotsman
BEN VAN DER VELDE
http://www.benvandervelde.com/
Standing a statutesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of Kilburn.
“Sharp and crafty gagsmith.” Chortle
“Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue.” Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
