Soulful jazz singer Zena James returns to the Bull’s Head with catchy grooves and infectious energy. Inspired as much by 70’s soul as by the jazz greats, Zena enjoys great reviews for her funky take on popular and rare jazz gems and irresistible, low-down R&B sounds.
Expect on the groove arrangements of popular jazz standards and groove-laden self-penned originals, all featuring Dominic Ashworth on guitar and Andy Hamill on bass. Zena will also be joined by celebrated drummer Mike Bradley who held the drum chair for 11 years in the West End’s popular ‘Thriller Live’ as well as headlining at various prestigious Jazz Festivals such as Montreux and WOMAD, and touring the world with the acclaimed Swingle Singers.
