Tomasz Zyrmont is an accomplished jazz pianist, composer, and educator with an impressive international background. A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Tomasz has graced renowned stages worldwide, including the British Parliament, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, the 606 Jazz Club, and Boisdale Canary Wharf. His compositions have also resonated across notable radio stations such as Jazz FM, Radio Jazz.FM, Near FM Dublin, 202 Belgrade, and Radio PRL24. www.tomaszzyrmont.com
Dawid Frydryk, a versatile trumpeter, educator, and composer, holds a Master’s Degree in Jazz, having studied under Dr. Piotr Wojtasik. Dawid performs across the UK and Europe, having played and recorded with celebrated artists like Louis Moholo-Moholo, John Edwards, Mark Sanders, and Steve Noble. He has collaborated with a wide array of groups including Tumbao, Koniec Świata, The Crackers Band, Klimek, Bollywood Brass Band, Monika Lidke, and Trio Yoga. Notably, he also crafted the music for the reality show Bar and is the founder and artistic director of the Art of Improvisation festival.
Together, these dynamic artists will present an electrifying duet set, featuring their original compositions, selected lyrical jazz standards, and music by Krzysztof Komeda. Tomasz Zyrmont
Tomasz Zyrmont is a renowned pianist, composer, and educator based in London. He is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Tomasz has performed at prestigious events such as the London Jazz Festival, Yamaha Music Live, Wigmore Lates, and the Jazz FM Discovery Show. He has played in venues like Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the 606 Club, Boisdale, Canary Wharf, and the British Parliament.
In the past, Tomasz led Groove Razors, an electric jazz fusion group that released two albums featuring his original compositions. He also founded the Tomasz Zyrmont Trio, which has performed at notable festivals like Polish Music Week and venues such as the Embassy of the Republic of Poland. In 2022, he launched the Interphase Quartet in collaboration with saxophonist Sean Khan, blending contemporary and traditional jazz. Tomasz’s versatility is evident in his Yamaha Silent Piano concerts, pre-concert performances for artists like Hiromi, and his role curating jazz jam sessions at POSK.
