Suburban Symphony formed in January 2014. The 5 piece formed from bands such as Bashphelt, Pipeline, Stilts and Gizesque. Their history makes for a well oiled, close knit band, who write catchy songs with memorable vocal melodies, three part harmonies and driving beats. By October 2014 the band had written 14 songs, prompting them to start recording their debut album.
The band initially played in North West England where they hail from. However, in 2016 they also enjoyed relative success further afield by playing at Camden Rocks Festival (on the same line up as bands such as The Cribs, Sikth and Carl Barat & The Jackals) and Lowde Fest supporting The Feeling, they have also played at Sonder Festival, Love Summer Festival, Bands on The Square, Darwen Live and more. Throughout the remainder of 2017, Suburban Symphony have played 5 support gigs with Bruce Foxtons 'FromThe Jam' plus 2 with Big Country, across the Northwest.
On Sunday 26th August 2017, following success in a public vote, Suburban Symphony played live on stage at the British Superbikes round at Silverstone as part of the Liv.Live promotion, after winning a battle of the bands on the Saturday. This win also secured a spot playing at the 2018 Formula 1 round back at Silverstone.

To raise funds for recording the album, which has been ongoing throughout 2015/2016, the band had been selling 2 live 4 track EP at their gigs. The band also released these 4 tracks as live videos on YouTube and this undoubtedly caused a stir, as their gigs seem to have been very busy since.
The album, recorded and produced at Hilton Studios - staffed by Mat Arnold (Ex in house engineer at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios) and Keiron Melling (Drummer for legendary punk band the fall) - was released on 4th September 2017, following Suburban Symphony signing to Hilltown Records, a brand new label formed by the studio.
The band initially performed at various local pubs, clubs and outdoor events to gain a local following, and also started playing at festivals and clubs further afield, which included the following:
Sat 9 Dec - Brudenell Social Club, Leeds (supporting 'Big Country')
August 2016 - Pinnacle Rocks, Sutton
