The idea of the song was just to have a fast paced, pounding rhythm that people could get into, we had been listening to LA Woman by the Doors and liked the breakneck feel of the song. In terms of the lyrics, Lewis sings in first person, as if he is a rich businessman type with lots of money, indoctrinated into the lifestyle – similar to Bateman in American Psycho. Sarah counters by singing that this guy might think he’s a bigshot and everybody loves him, but in fact everybody wants him gone instead of just wanting him.
