2016 sees the launch of the band’s ‘Garlic’ EP – the first release from our ‘Food for Thought’ EP trilogy. The five-track release has been gaining first-rate reviews from local radio, news and music press.
“Sea Monster Eyes prove once again that they're one of the most imaginative and enjoyable bands to come out of Nottingham area (Mansfield to be exact) for a long while with their classic indie rock sound and charming girl / boy harmonies, Sea Monsters Eyes prove on Garlic that they are a band with both class and distinction.” – Paul Klotschkow, Music Editor, LeftLion Magazine
“Expect the unexpected as you may end up in someone’s magical shed, making friends with a crew of barnacle encrusted sailors and hanging out in a psychedelic gutter looking up at the stars. It's this unpredictability that I get a massive kick out of and getting lost in their world is pure joy, particularly when the real one seems to get more and more grotty every day.” – Watko, Radio Presenter at Mansfield 103.2
“I love the diverse, driving sound that manages to impress and entertain all at the same time.” - Jason Loftus, Trent Sound Radio
The band are Geoff Saunders-Carlin (guitar/vocals), Phil Grafton (bass/vocals), Anna Kerr (keys/synth/vocals), Mark Smith (drums), and Rob Hible (guitar/vocals).
