A couple of people this week have asked us is "Stay" a very personal song for us, and we'd have to admit that although it is, it's not about a specific experience either of us have gone through, it came more from a collection of memories that came from experiencing break ups, and maybe partly from seeing how our friends have dealt with break ups! Hope that answers your questions a little bit!😊

Anyways, after we wrote "Stay" and people genuinely seemed to connect to it, we decided to give songwriting another go! So the next song we wrote was called "Go", which was more upbeat (with depressing lyrics mind you, but let's be honest, it's us and were sad feckers! Ha!), followed swiftly by "Wait". We shit you not, the first 3 songs we wrote together were called, "Stay", "Go", and "Wait"!! Ha!! We're a pretty confused bunch us Saarloos boys!!😂

It was around this time that we started gigging with our friend Ciara Ashmore, who's an amazing songwriter, and we decided it'd be great fun to do some gigs together! So we formed a 3 piece band called "The Checks", and started doing some pub gigs around Dublin! We eventually had to stop gigging with Ciara when we realised she could drink much more pints of Guinness than we could!!😂😂
