Three friends from the Netherlands, with a huge passion for psychedelic music from the 60’s and 70’s, decide to jam together. With Rens Ottink on drums, Eszl du Vois on bass and organ and Brian Pots on guitar and vocals, PAUW is born. For several months they lock themselves up in an old pig barn to create a magical set.

In 2014 they record a few demos by themselves in the same barn. With the EP in their back pocket, they sign up for the “Popronde”. A showcase festival for upcoming acts, that travels through 31 cities over a period of 2,5 months. They play 38 shows, an all-time high in the history of the festival. In the meantime they support Temples and Elephant Stone, play the after-show for Kasabian and make their debut on Dutch radio and television. This is how the Netherlands get to know PAUW in a very short time.

Somehow they manage to find some time to head into the studio, to record their debut EP with producer Roel Blommers. When the EP is released, it immediately got praised by the press and many music lovers. Single „Shambhala” becomes very popular at Dutch radio stations and music platforms where it gets crowned with titles like “Single of the week”. In 2015 they move on as a four piece. After a period away from the band, Eszl returns as the bass player and multi-instrumentalist Kees Braam, roadie of the band since day one, becomes the keyboardist. With a savage drummer, a bombastic bassist, a mesmerizing keyboardist and a charismatic guitarist with dreamy vocals, PAUW takes you on a magical and unforgettable trip that will remain with many for a long time.
