Nice N Sleazy presents:
Wendell Borton + Daria + Puppy Fat
Wendell Borton, born in Aberdeen and now based in Glasgow, are a fuzzy pop outfit formed in 2015 by Daryl Rankin, Euan Davidson and latterly, Derek Stewart.
Nearly a year after the acclaimed EP ‘Crawl’, Wendell Borton’s ‘Changing Room/The Pain’ is a caustic, melody-driven double-punch of thoughtful, indie-rock bliss; the summit of the Glasgow-via-Aberdeen trio’s dialled-up, energetic and tight sound. Recorded in Edinburgh with Mark Morrow (The Little Kicks, Indigo Velvet), ‘Changing Room/The Pain’ sees WB develop their pop sensibilities, with endless hooks, snappy lyricism and haunting harmonies cloaking a pounding rhythm section and playful, explorative guitar work.
Support on the night comes from two of Glasgow's most exciting additions to the scene; Daria, and Puppy Fat.
