Sorren Maclean
ARTIST BIO
We are delighted to welcome Sorren as the newest member of our roster. Having spent years writing, recording and touring with the likes of Roddy Woomble, Dougie Maclean and Mull Historical Society, he has emerged as one of Scotland’s most versatile musical talents. Preparing to step forward in his own right, the Mull based singer-songwriter is set to release his debut album, ‘Winter Stay Autumn’, in March 2015, preceded by the EP, ‘Way Back Home’, in January.
The album was seeded during a special commission from Celtic Connections, with the resulting material forming the basis of his debut solo offering. In a fitting move, the famous Glasgow festival will also act as the platform to launch this exciting new chapter in Sorren’s career.
Having also contributed music to E4’s Beaver Falls, BBC 2’s Wildlife series and BBC Hebrides, in addition to his solo output, 2015 will also see Sorren soundtrack the BBC’s forthcoming documentary on Alexander McQueen, as well as a collaboration with composer Donald Shaw for new BBC drama, ‘Bannan’.
