Metropolis Rising in association with Music Glue and hosted by Eclectic Electric, is a brand new industry platform offering the most compelling new talent on the music circuit the opportunity to showcase their wares at one of the most famous recording facilities in the world, Metropolis Studios.
Every month, three acts will be invited to play a 20 minute set in front of an audience made up of industry heads and music fans on the hunt for the next big thing.
Taking place between 7 pm and 10 pm at the Studio bar, the shows will target a diverse mix of producers, stripped back bands and singer songwriters. We will manage all the scheduling, supply tech and crew for your show with the shows recorded for Eclectic Electric, an online radio show and music collective showcasing the best in original new music.
All submissions here on Music Glue's "Apply to Play" page will be reviewed by the Metropolis Rising team and those artists chosen to perform will be contacted directly.
We have had an overwhelming response for the inaugural launch show on 30th March 2017 with almost 1,000 submissions. Keep them coming though, we never get tired of discovering great music.
There will be a strict filtering process. Acts selected will typically be on the cusp of being signed, have an evolving fan-base and we expect management and publishing houses to use this platform as a vehicle to vet the newest acts on their roster.
HOW TO REGISTER To start, simply enter your email address in the box in the sidebar. If you're using a mobile phone, the box will appear at the bottom of the page.
Once your email address has been submitted you will receive an email inviting you to create your Music Glue profile. Your application for Metropolis Rising will be finalised once your basic Music Glue profile has been completed.
So we can review your act properly, please ensure you complete the following parts of your profile: - Add an artist biography and image - Add your social page links - Add at least one video or a track that can be streamed via the profile - Brand your page
If you already have a Music Glue profile, you can submit your application to perform at Metropolis Rising by adding your email address in the box on the right and clicking the link sent to you via email.
