Maria Moss is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and dancer based in London. Her style is pop but mixed with R&B, dance, and soul plus Latin, Spanish and Arabic influences. The mental health advocate impregnates her songs and performances with her characteristic personality and her calling for happiness, empowerment and love.
Her new single 'Gold' is the first single of a series of songs co-produced by Jamie Sellers (platinum-selling songwriter and record producer) and mastered by Pete Maher (Katy Perry, The Rolling Stones, Kelly Clarkson, U2).
Recently, she worked with worldwide known artist Cher, Mark Taylor, Jamie Sellers, Kwame Kwaten and Marco Dalla Villa. She writes songs for other artists and producers, she translates songs into Spanish and coaches artists helping them during the recording process. She balances her busy schedule with music workshops in The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital thanks to RS Foundation.
Moss has been singing since she was three. At the age of 14, she won ¨The English Key¨ prize singing ¨When You Believe¨ by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston on Cantamania, a Catalan TV programme (Salou,TV3).
Since 2015, Moss has been writing, performing and developing her sound, lighting up industry interest (X-Factor, Universal Music Group, AEG Presents, OML, etc). She has played a number of international performances in Spain, the UK and the USA (LA, Chicago, and New York) and has played in legendary venues such as O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, The Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club, and Cargo to name a few. She has had media coverage in Spain, the UK, and Mexico. She has also got National UK & Europe radio play. BBC, BBC Introducing and La Cadena SER are a few examples.
Maria Moss' 'Viva La Vida', a collaboration with the Italian producer and artist Marco Dalla Villa has more than +85k on Spotify and has been added to Spotify editorial playlists. Her music has been playlisted on Spotify and played during official basketball matches in Spain (Federació Catalana del Basket).
The finalist of Primo Maggio Festival 2018 has worked with the British filmmaker Marine Hugonnier, singing for her new documentary 'La Vijanera', that will be screened in various festivals and museums like the Guggenheim. As a teacher, she has taught vocals to students of all ages like Valentina Pinault (Salma Hayek's daughter), and Anu Badmus (former Nala in The Lion King Musical).
Artists such as Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Cher, Michael Jackson, Major Lazer, Sia, Pink, and Rihanna are a few of her inspirations.
