Leaone (Lee-own) is an independent music artist from East Anglia - currently based in Liverpool, UK.
In 2017 Leaone released two EP’s; ‘Oh, My Sweetest Sin’ and ‘Wild Horse Ride On'. Released via Fierce Panda records and mixed by Jim Lowe (Stereophonics), the songs gathered new fans from Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), Jo Whiley (BBC Radio 2), Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), and Chris Hawkins (BBC 6 Music), whilst leading to support shows with Emmy The Great, and Roddy Woomble (Idlewild).
In 2018 Leaone’s track ‘Devil May Care’ was remixed by Tom Marsh (of Lana Del Rey fame) in Brooklyn New York. This formed a new creative partnership, and with support from the Arts Council England, Leaone travelled to Brooklyn throughout 2018 and 2019 to work on his (unreleased) debut record with Tom, and Abe Seiferth at Transmitter Park Studios in Greenpoint Brooklyn.

“Emotionally downbeat but completely gripping.” - Clash
“With fair comparisons having been drawn to Johnny Cash and Elliot Smith, alongside the definite hints of The National’s Matt Berninger and Crash Test Dummies’ Brad Roberts in his bass-heavy vocal, Leaone is in good company." – The Tipping Point
“Leaone conjures up memories of Jacques Brel and Scott Walker in a stylised package that would blow Hurts out of the water in an atmospheric death-match.” – Outline Online
