KAIYO have performed both as a duo (Simon Purcell & Amy Baldwin) and as a trio. Tonight they are expanding into a quartet with Mark Taylor on drums and featuring saxophonist Karen Sharp - well admired saxophonist and composer. https://www.karensharp.co.uk

Since 2000, multi-award winning Karen Sharp appeared with Humphrey Lyttelton before leading her own bands and appearing as a soloist with an high-profile musicians, including US stars Scott Hamilton, Warren Vache and Bucky Pizzarelli as well as many of the finest UK musicians. More recently she has appeared with the Guy Barker Big Band at the BBC Proms, the Stan Tracey Big Band and the Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra. With 6 albums to her name as leader she has won the British Jazz Awards for best tenor saxophonist on a number of occasions and has been a nominee in the Rising Star category of the US Downbeat Critics Poll for baritone sax in 2018 and 2019.
