The album’s fourteen tracks range from past favorites like ‘Far too Good’ and ‘Joanna’ to newer Hummingbird material such as the title track and folk favorite ‘Willy Moore’. “I especially wanted to play the songs that have taken on a new life in concert; they are very different to how they were recorded”, explains Smith. “Touring solo over this past year, part of my mission was to have space to rethink the songs, and to present them in a minimal environment where I could reinterpret them as I went along. I guess that’s what can make a live album such a special thing”
