David Courtney, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer, will be giving a rare, intimate interview in his home village of Hurstpierpoint to discuss his autobiography, Giving It All Away.

In this revealing book, Courtney delves into his path to becoming a successful songwriter and producer, his wild life as an ex-pat in LA, and the behind-the-scenes stories from Abbey Road and Top of the Pops. Known for discovering Leo Sayer and co-writing many of his international hits, including "The Show Must Go On," "One Man Band," and "Long Tall Glasses," Courtney has also collaborated with some of music’s biggest legends.
His impressive roster of collaborators includes Roger Daltrey, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Sir Paul McCartney, Gene Pitney, Ritchie Blackmore, and Elton John. He also wrote hits for UK pop duo Dollar and co-wrote the Odyssey hit "Magic Touch."
Courtney’s autobiography chronicles the highs and lows of the music industry, capturing a career that spans working with music icons and experiencing the wild ride of the industry, all while seeming to have lived ten lives in one.
David is also the Founder of the Walk of Fame cultural attractions in the UK which follow in the tradition of its famous 'Hollywood' predecessor.
