Mike Reinstein and Reina James-Reinstein have been creating music together for years. Mike has been writing and performing songs his entire adult life. After moving from London to Sussex in 2006 with his wife Reina, he found a home for his music on Brighton's Irregular Records label. Mike has released three critically acclaimed albums: "More To Be Revealed," "A Long March Home," and "Acts Of Love." His new album, "The Birds Don’t Sing Around Here," will be released in 2024. Mike's varied career includes writing reviews for Melody Maker and City Limits, teaching, and working as a dramatherapist for the NHS. For the past 25 years, he has been a music teacher for primary age and special needs children. Reina James-Reinstein, daughter of Sid James, began her musical career at five, playing the ukulele, and later became a singer, songwriter, and pianist in folk and rock bands in the 60s and 70s. She also pursued a career as an actor and writer, with her first novel winning The Society Of Authors' McKitterick prize. Reina continues to sing with Mike, contributing keyboards and vocal arrangements to his albums.
