The Football Club's Community Journey
Founded in 1886, Hurstpierpoint Football Club has been a cornerstone of community unity for over 135 years. From its humble beginnings at Danny House to its current home at Fairfield Rec, shared with the cricket club, the football club has thrived as a close-knit community. Competing in the Mid Sussex Football League and, at times, the Sussex County Football League, the club has embraced its identity as a true 'village team,' with an unwavering commitment to fostering a sense of belonging. The club continues to enrich the community by returning to its roots and emphasising its core values.
The Cricket Club's Enduring Legacy
Founded in 1717, Hurstpierpoint Cricket Club – which also, historically, held matches at nearby Danny House – is a family-friendly, social, and inclusive institution, holds a special place in the heart of Mid Sussex. Welcoming members of all ages and abilities, it boasts 3 Men's League sides, 1 Women's League side, and a Sunday social XI, along with mixed sex age groups from U8s up to U16s and girls-only age groups from U9s up to U15s. Beyond the cricketing action, the club has a robust social side, extending a warm welcome to non-playing social members who can support the teams from the club bar or the boundary rope.
