Line Up

Forming my passions at a young age and having penned my thoughts to songs for over a decade, the desire to express myself through music never fades. Finding influence in Wolf Alice, Imogen Heap, and Radiohead, I’m keen keep my music exciting and always evolving. Now 24 years old, my career is constantly building. Working with my live band, we have had a busy live schedule over the past 24 months. Establishing our sound with support slots for Baby Queen, The Amazons and Upsahl and James Marriott - as well as performing at festivals including Glastonbury, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Boardmasters, Truck, Tramlines, Kendall Calling, 110above & many more. We also sold out our headline tour dates across the country in cities including London, Bristol and Manchester and Newcastle.

The release schedule we have is extremely consistent and has allowed us to release many singles, as well as an EP in 2022 and in 2023. Working with producers Catherine Marks (Foals, Wolf Alice, The Killers), Iain Berryman (Wolf Alice, Beabadoobee, Niece Ella), Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters, Muse) and long term producer / collaborator Steve Grainger, the music just keeps on flowing. So far into 2024 I have been announced as BBC Introducing's 'One to Watch' and after self-releasing the first single of the year 'Impossible + Strange’ in January which was chosen as Jack Saunders 'Next Wave' with him describing it as "totally different" and a "unique concoction" of explosive energy. Also in January, Absolute Radio's Danielle Perry chose me to be her featured January artist on the Sunday Night Music Club. ’Cool’ followed in June alongside 2 incredible Glastonbury shows and my movie sync ‘I’m a Man’ for the Amazon Prime My Lady Jane Series.

Fast forward to October and we release my 3rd EP ‘Spilling Out The Truth’ which will see my latest single ‘She’s a Scorpio’ produced by Steve Grainger and Lisa Murphy and mixed by Iain Berryman. With early support from Notion, Clash, and Dork, I’m ready to grasp with guitar in hand, all that making music has to offer. I have an incredible team around me and we’ve had a lot of love from industry tastemakers. I am driven and determined to keep going full steam ahead allowing the music to reach the widest audiences possible, living out its full potential.

Thanks for your support! Lizzie x

“These girls mean business. One of the most exciting bands to come through Future Alternative. A two piece with the world at their feet” - Nels Hylton, BBC Radio 1

On 7th November alt-rock band Dirty Blonde will release new single ‘Northern Twang’. Hailing from Manchester, the blonde-bombshell alt-rock duo is fronted by the powerhouse pairing of Ailis Mackay (vocals, guitar, drums) and Hayley Tait (guitar, backing vocals). Since forming in January 2023, they've shared the stage with acts such as Frank Carter and the Sex Pistols, The Lottery Winners, Cast, The Subways, and The K’s. Their debut EP, Favourite Record quickly grabbed the attention of tastemakers at BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, landing spots on major Spotify playlists, and scoring a video feature on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch. Nels Hylton labelled the band "One of the most exciting bands to come through Future Alternative. A two piece with the world at their feet."

This summer, Dirty Blonde hit the festival circuit hard, tearing up over 20 stages, including a game-changing set at the Isle of Wight Festival where they opened the second stage. Add in further knock-out performances at The Great Escape, Truck, Y Not, and NBHD festivals, and it's no wonder they’re being hailed as one of the UK's hottest new live acts. After the success of previous EP Favourite Record, Dirty Blonde’s return with ‘Northern Twang’ reaffirms their status in Manchester’s alt-rock scene. Described as “Your dad’s new favourite band”, this single is just the start of their journey with a bigger body of work to be announced before the end of the year.
