Where band mates collide!

Dreampop band Broken Horses (featuring Smyths frontman Graham Sampson) make their London debut on January 16th in a double bill with TV Pins - West Coast Popsters featuring Smyths enigmatic bass player Simon Hudson.

Broken Horses will launch their debut EP at the show whilst the Pins - fresh from their recent UK Tour will feature tracks from their recently released debut LP.

With some 100+ shows at the Half Moon with The Smyths, it’s a chance for their fans to see the guys step out of their tribute selves and show themselves to be original artists in their own right.

TV PINS

TV Pins are a 5-piece band from London and the West Midlands, delivering vocal harmony drenched sounds of West coast Americana with distinctively British avant- garde song writing.

They share a love of keyboard grooves and a fusion of styles from 70’s americana, classic British new wave, 60’s psychedelia and hook-laden power pop. The band combine in the pop songs flavours of americana, alt- pop songs, keyboard grooves and radio friendly harmonic rock with a spiky edge.

Comprising a unique blend of heritage and attitude, warm yet spiky tunes, TV Pins sound like an updated version of that classic band you’d forgotten how much you loved.

Nifty arrangements, big harmonies and a sound that echoes iconic bands like ELO and Supertramp are sprinkled with 90s nostalgia reminiscent of Crowded House.

Songwriters Duncan & Miles played in the 1990s Busking pop phenomenon, Bean and toured in Canada, Australia & Europe making huge waves on the Fringe, Cabaret and Music festival circuits. They performed on TV shows and released singles that lead to supports with big 90s acts e.g. Blur

Known globally as the singer of The Smyths , Graham Sampson’s own songwriting finds a new home in the guise of BROKEN HORSES.

Broken Horses are Graham Sampson, Ruby Jean Clunie, Dougal Clunie, Ian Medany, Steve Bellamy & Warren Farr

Male and female voices soar against glacial guitars , rich ambient keys, dark bass & clean, spatial drums.

A sound born of alternative aesthetics fused with west coast psychedelia, hear echoes of Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star & Suede.

Through Broken Horse, Sampson’s melody rich and atmospheric songs thrillingly come alive
