My name is Emily White. I am a local singer-songwriter from Derby who combines beautifully rich and expressive vocals with a contemporary, laid-back and jazz-inspired piano style. I have recently released my debut EP Colourblind which is available on Spotify and iTunes.
I have a degree in music from the University of Birmingham, and am currently self-employed as a musician. I am currently rehearsing for my EP launch that will take place in April. I also regularly gig solo in and around Derbyshire, Nottingham and Birmingham. My influences are wide and include the likes of Karen Carpenter, Carole King, Jimmy Webb, Joni Mitchell, Lianne la havas, Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, Jose James, Snarky Puppy, Hall & Oates, Jessie Ware, The Rh Factor, Tom Misch and Emily King
