EVOLUTION and other such things...
Right, well it's a week (I think, I drank a lot over the weekend) since our last blog. Or 'Sand correspondence' as we call them...Dunes...sand....AAAAHHH shut up.
Since the last update we've featured on 3 different radio shows, which is awful super nice. If you've been following us on twitter then you'll know all about them, if you are not already following us then WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE? FOLLOW. NOW: https://twitter.com/senuddunes
Saturday 28th of January we embarked on our first gig 'abroad'...well in Barnsley which to 4 lads from Newcastle is pretty 'abroad'. Played the Old School House (formerly Polish Club) with our mates Gorilla Warfare (Sheffield), The Recovery (Glasgae) and Servers (t'Barnsley). WOW, what a gig! Each band put on a fantastic show and the packed venue seemed to be diggin' everyone involved, or at least I think that's what they were saying. Barnsley we love you.
Now this week I receive an email from Evolution Emerging festival, banging on about what we need to do to maybe play their lovely festival in our home town - TOON. Was like being chased to do your work by the headmaster. So for extra merits here is our SOUNDCLOUD link because it "will allow the panel to still hear our music if there is an issue with the uploaded track.": https://soundcloud.com/dunesNCL
Now there should appear a big picture of us above....a bit further up...keep going...there! AREN'T WE GORGEOUS! Got it? Right; TICK.
There is a bio in the bio section: TICK.
And you should be able to listen to the songs we have uploaded...but if not please see previously mentioned Soundcloud link and see what we look like only in a much smaller, skewed view picture (still fit).
There's more advice but it's been a long day so will take us ages to read through. So let's end with some kind words about the band, if this doesn't convince festival organisers around the country to snap us up, I do not know what will:
DUNES are probably the best thing to happen to music since Lenny Kravitz's trousers split on stage
