Monochrome
We all have these moments in our lives when we think that not feeling anything is preferable to the emotions we're feeling in that moment. Sometimes we wish for it - because at least it lends some stability to our lives, at times when we are at our most vulnerable.
It is also at these times that we can sometimes turn to substances - substances that can also be incredibly addictive, if not for its ability to regulate our emotions, then at least for its ability to help us feel a little less pain, even if it's just for a moment.
Monochrome talks about that feeling - that desire to make everything just go away, that desire to take a pill or a drink just to make the music stop. But the truth is that emotions are what make us human - they are what makes our lives so unique. If we cease to feel anything, while we may no longer feel pain and sadness, we also become unable to feel love and joy in the process - and what is life without love and joy?
Much like Artist, we hope this song is something people can relate to in their struggles, or in their past; we also hope this song can encourage you to realise you are never as alone as you think you are, and such solutions are unsustainable at best.
