The guys have been on our remixer wish-list for a long time. We met them at many shows and festivals in recent years and always had a fun time together. Love their productions. We're really pleased to have finally made it happen. The Remix is out now:

We first met Brooklyn born, New Jersey-based DJ and producer Chris Malinchak at our show at Trocadero in Philadelphia in March of 2013. He shot to international acclaim with his hit single 'So Good To Me' which we heard (and loved) that night, with the years following welcoming material via the likes of French Express and Ultra, plus the launch of his weekly radio show on Sirius XM Chill. CAVERNA MAGICA Welcome to our brand new single, ‘Caverna Magica’ – a blissful and wandering cut journeying through tranquil and serene soundscapes... The sound of Booka Shade always combined dance floor club sounds with the ability to enjoy the music at home. So until we can dance together again here’s the soundtrack for your headphone journey to your own private magic cave.

During the long months of winter lockdown we spent time exploring soundscapes with the mixture of acoustic and electronic sounds. Here live-played acoustic percussion (sticks on the rim of a drum) groove alongside wide open distorted synth pads.

Critically acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Polly Scattergood has joined us for our first collaboration of the new year. Polly was introduced to us by a mutual friend. We liked her release on Mute Records back in the day, and also the song she did with Chris Liebing on his recent album.

We had a backing track that was less "clubby" and more indie and atmospheric, which we thought might fit her voice nicely, and Polly came up with these thrilling vocal lines! "Like an Angel in the Darkness…"

We very much enjoy working with artists all around the globe, although we can’t be together in the studio. Once the communication is clear and we feel each others' vibe, it’s a wonderful journey, far away from dull reality! A&W

Premiering New Years Day on BBC Radio 1, 'Pray' is the band's first release for 2021. "It's very hopeful, we think, both the vocals and the song in general. We have faith in a positive future, and hopes for the new year. 'Forest of Etta' is something more ethereal, a mysterious walk through a fantasy forest. Welcome to 2021, friends". A&W. Our final release of this year takes us back to the good old times at Get Physical. Originally released in 2007 as vinyl bootleg only, later 'officially' in 2008 on Get Physical Music. This classic beauty now comes with additional mixes by SIS Manpowermusic and Robag Wruhme . HERE

Booka Shade have been in the studio cruising down memory lane whilst dreaming of playing shows again… The band have reworked one of your live favourites 'Teenage Spaceman' and invited South African duo Guy Herman and Chris Sen to lend their magic touch as well. Out on all platforms HERE now.

The band's history with Perry Farrell goes way back to 2008 when they played on the bill at Lollapalooza with him in Chicago.
