The Steeton Male Voice Choir & Clare Chorale in Concert
*This will be a night to remember as the Belfast Cathedral Music Festival brings together two of the best choirs from each side of the Irish Sea. *
Based in the village of Seeton, situated between Keighley and Skipton – Seeton Male Voice Choir is one of the oldest and most respected male voice choirs in Yorkshire. As they head towards celebrating their 110th anniversary in 2018, Seeton MVC is thriving - singing as well, if not better, than ever! Belfast Cathedral are delighted that Seeton MVC have taken time to schedule singing for us here in Belfast amidst an incredibly busy touring schedule in 2017.
This fabulous choir will perform alongside local group the Clare Chorale from Co. Antrim. This popular mixed voice choir enjoys a busy diary of engagements throughout the season. It has singers from all professions who base themselves in Ballyclare, a town well known for its musical traditions. Regular singing throughout the province keeps them busy and they are always adding to their membership and repertoire. Their conductor is local Mezzo-Soprano, Sheelagh Greer and their accompanist is Darren Day, also a full-time musician. Most recently they were selected to take part in the BBC Songs of Praise.
All proceeds will go towards the on-going work of Belfast Cathedral
